A closed mind
As any regular school morning would go, we were all rushing.
Rushing to get dressed.
Rushing to eat.
Rushing to get in the car.
We were finally ready and then I heard a commotion behind me.
The twins were arguing 🤦🤦.
What was really the issue?
Who would stay on a particular side of the car?
And I heard “it’s my turn” “can’t you shift” “I want to go thru this way” and plenty other arguments.
Back story; they have obviously come up with a system about who sits where on which day, for the sake of equality. And someone else was not following the rules.
The irony of this story is that the other side of the car was free and empty.
🤦🤦 Children!!!!!!.
But maybe sometimes that’s how we behave isn’t it?
God has kept an open door of blessings for us but we insist on going through the same route another person goes through.
Up till the point where we fight because we believe that we are being cheated or sidelined.
Am sure there are times when even God wonders what is wrong with us, the blessings are there, it’s yours to take but you insist on having it exactly how another person has it.
The most important thing is that we must be willing to follow His will and direction.
Like my children were willing to follow me in the car to go to school.
And we should be more focused on how He wants to bless us than how another person is being blessed.
Let’s remember that the blessings are available for us all just like there was adequate space in the car.
But the way you desire may not the way that’s best for you
How do you find out?
Talk to Jesus.
He’s just a prayer away
