I heard someone say that if you want to learn, you should spend plenty of time with children below seven and people above seventy years. There was a guarantee of acquiring a lot of wisdom by hanging around these age groups.

While a lot of us would agree with the latter age group immediately especially as our default mode associates wisdom with the number of years, the truth of the statement for the first and younger age group is equally true.

Children are inquisitive by nature and their innocence allows them to think and act as they perceive. They can ask the dumbest questions and simultaneously ask the most intelligent questions, sometimes in one single conversation. Hardly ever ashamed to say they do not know and watching the way they observe and study their surroundings can be mind blowing and so when they speak, it is imperative we listen .Simply observing them as they play and fight with each other   will  enhance some of our relationship skills.

We definitely will do ourselves a lot of good if we can learn from them and allow ourselves be children again and again as the occasion arises .
